Katharine M. Woessner MD, FAAAI has been a practicing Board certified allergist since 1997. She did her undergraduate degree at Middlebury College in Vermont. Afterwards, she attended the University of Miami School of Medicine. Upon completion of her medical degree she completed training in Internal Medicine also at the University of Miami.

For specialty training in Allergy and Immunology, Dr Woessner went to the prestigious Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. During her time in Fellowship, she dedicated herself to both the care of patients as well as research in to critical questions in the field of allergy, asthma and immunology. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as active in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology of which is she a Fellow.

She is currently the Program Director for the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program at Scripps Clinic Medical Group in La Jolla, California. In addition to teaching responsibilities, research and patient care, Dr Woessner has continued to publish in the field both in textbooks and journals such as the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Annals of Allergy, Clinical Reviews in Allergy and Immunology and others.

She formed a partnership with Dr Jennifer Namazy to address the unmet needs of the home environment for allergy and asthma sufferers. Their company, HADC, Inc. has been devoted to using the best of science to create a healthy, home environment.
