Most people use their tea kettle just for making tea but mine gets a workout for boiling water for many kitchen uses. A good tea kettle should be well constructed with solid parts that don’t rust. Beware of plastic parts near the heat that can sometimes melt. Also important is a handle that doesn’t get too hot to the touch.
Many of the differences in kettles come down to design. How pretty will that kettle look on your stovetop and does it match your décor? Kitchen Aid as usual stands out because of their offerings of so many different colors.
