This is the only consumer digital camera I recommend from Nikon. They do a much better job of making DSLR (digital single lens reflex) cameras with interchangeable lenses. The size of this camera suggests rechargeable AA batteries, but you will need to use a proprietary Nikon rechargeable one. It has the ability to go up to ISO 3200 and has 52MB built-in memory so you can start taking a few photographs without a memory card.
