The Kjus company was created by World Champion Norwegian National skier Lasse Kjus. The company was founded in 1997, but really only started a strong showing in the US market in the last five years. Kjus sportswear in general seems to have an air of exclusivity about it, featuring stylish designs and high quality materials. The Kjus Formula pants follow this direction. These are some very comfortable, warm pants with a nice slim fit (so probably more suited for skiers than snowboarders) featuring a very useful stretch construction. I especially prefer stretchable pants on mogul slopes since my knees come up to my chin when I really lay into it.
Water-resistant snow gaiters not only keep out moisture from the inside of your pants, the fortified layer at the hems protects the pants from being cut by the edges of your skis. One great pair of pants!
