Eclipse is well known for excellent sounding head units and this unit is no exception. While this category is dominated by DVD players, I still place this unit at number four because of the fact that most people using and installing navigation systems also add satellite radio or use digital files and don’t use the screen as a video player. This unit is probably the best choice for someone that wants to use a navigation unit portably or switch from vehicle to vehicle a lot. I rank this unit highly because of Eclipse’s choice in partnering with the well-known navigation company Tom-Tom. This way Eclipse provides stellar audio performance and highly respectable navigational assistance.
Standard features include but are not limited to:
3.5-Inch Monitor 8 Digit LCD, 4-Direction, Rotary & Push Knob Removable Tom-Tom Navigation Unit CD player USB media input AM/FM Radio Bluetooth Hands-free 50 watt x4 power output to play speakers
This unit is obviously focused strongly on navigation, which in part is why I rate it highly on this list, but even so, it still has many optional accessories that it will suit as well as an entertainment system.
Just some of the options are:
Sirius Satellite Radio iPod Interface Tom Tom PLUS services including weather and traffic
