Aquasana’s AQ-4000 Counter Top Unit is an excellent water filter for a relatively low cost. It is manufactured in the USA and has been tested by NSF Standards 42 and 53 (NSF/ANSI Standard 42 to remove chloramine, chlorine, taste and odor, and nominal particulate reduction, and NSF/ANSI Standard 53 to remove asbestos, chlordane, lead, mercury, MTBE, PCB, toxaphene, turbidity, cysts, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)) and certified by the California Department of Health Services. The AQ-4000 will remove most standard water pollutants and uses a dual cartridge filtering system that combines carbon filtration, ion exchange and sub micron filtration to produce healthy, great-tasting water.
