The 686 Smarty Low-rise pants is one of the warmest, most durable, functional and comfortable pants I have found. With a zip out velour pant liner that is stylish enough to wear around the lodge, its versatility cannot be beat. It features two hip pockets, a zipper back pocket, and a cargo pass pocket. Inside the thigh, zipper mesh-lined vents keep your temperature just right. The fabric is very durable; one of the few pants that I have used for two seasons straight-that’s approximately 300+ days on snow! Rated at 15000m/10000g, I have tested them in rain, sleet, freezing rain, and powder, and they have never disappointed me. They have an adjustable waist for great fit, powder cuffs, and a great fit that is women specific yet still gives that slightly baggy fit. I opted for a size bigger than I usually wear because I like baggy pants, but I think the sizing is pretty accurate. However, as always, I recommend that if possible, try them on.
